Today marks the 1 week mark before the start of the 2014 Ingram Micro Cloud Summit, and I recently caught up with Mercer Rowe, the Senior Director of Partner Sales at VMware to get his insights on VMware’s announcements, upcoming product and service offerings, and keynote topic for this year’s event.
Last year VMware announced its vCloud Hybrid Service, a secure IaaS (infrastructure-as-a-service) cloud owned and operated by VMware, which is built on the foundation of vSphere. This year, VMware will be working more closely with Ingram Micro to expand its vCloud Hybrid Service platform in the channel.
You can hear those details and more by clicking here to listen to my interview with Mercer Rowe.
While at the show, be sure to check out VMware’s keynote presentation by Scott Collison, the VP of VMware’s Hybrid Platform. Collison will be highlighting how the hybrid cloud enables organizations to maximize their existing IT investments in technology, people, and processes, while still providing their users with access to applications they demand.
