One of the unique aspects to the managed services community is hopefully spilling over to cloud, and that is a sense of being in it together. It’s hard to define, but as a blogger, and when I was an editor, I was struck by the willingness of MSPs to share their miscalculations, their success stories, and their tribal knowledge in hopes of helping those still working through a managed services strategy to avoid common mistakes.
One goal of the Ingram Micro Cloud Summit is to foster that all-for-one mentality, and at this year’s summit, IT industry organization CompTIA is lending a hand. The organization launched its Cloud Community to address the challenges and opportunities in the emerging field of cloud (and SaaS), and in line with that mission, CompTIA is sponsoring the Cloud Community Café at the Cloud Summit – issuing an open invitation for solution providers, vendors and industry experts to sit down and brainstorm around the idea of cloud. The concept is that big ideas start small, and conversations can drive change the industry.
Ingram Micro’s own Jason Bystrak, director sales for the cloud team, has been working with CompTIA to build its cloud community, and most Ingram Micro partners will recognize the community’s chairman, John Rice, who heads Intermedia’s partner community. So, be sure to stop by and explore the opportunity to become more involved with CompTIA and the growing cloud community. You can also learn more online.
